Making Dandelion Tea

When we first moved here, there was nothing growing. Most of the trees had been cut or knocked down for local timber companies. It was so empty the first year that we went to a friend's house further down the ridge and took dandelions for making jelly but nova would also get the big dandelion poofs to bring home and blow into our yard. I would drive very slowly up the ridge and she would clutch them in both hands ready to make her wishes. This year, they're growing everywhere! We're hoping for enough to make jelly and share with the bees next spring! Hopefully by that time we'll have sunflower, marigolds & calendula growing as well! And maybe even some of our own bee hives 🤞🏻 But for now, we just pick a small handful and enjoy our tea 🍵
