No trees.. No water... This might sound like a post apocalyptic world, but it could be the future of Earth as we know it. We have nearly 8 BILLION people living on our planet, and despite Earth's best efforts to kill us off with plagues, earthquakes, volcanos, and weather systems, our population keeps growing. Because of this, the precious stores of life-giving elements on our planet are running low.

Welcome to Factnomenal, and today, we’ll take a look at 10 Things the World is Running Out Of. Watch until the end, you won't believe what we're running out of!

If you replace most of the stuff we use trees for with hemp should help tremendously

This is the reason why fusion energy is needed... space mining is needed and a slowdown on the use of oil, natural gas, wood, and other resources are a key to our survival.

I’ll give you the 8 reasons earth may become inhabitable. Number 8 - huge extinction event meteor. Number 7 - in 5 billion years the sun will expand into a red giant and fry the planet. Numbers 6 to 1- humans live on it.

The water crisis could be somewhat solved....a solar desalination plant. As for the trees....keep the largest trees and plant a bamboo forest for paper and as the 'renewable' resources (coal, oil, natural gas) for the oil and natural gas theres the Marcellus shale and that would last about 50-150 per layer...they just tapped the top layer and theres about 5 or 6 layers [New York (which fracking is banned there), Pennsylvania, west Virginia]). 50-60 years for top soil??depends. Grass clippings could turn to top soil in about a year, forest litter (leaves, small branches, dead animals) could be 3-5 years. Rare earth minerals? That's a tough one. Fishing? Have different types of fish farms. Back with the oil crisis....only trains/semi trucks, ships (cargo) (and buses) should be on the road....those that can walk can ride a bike (or walk) [if I can do it in 80+ degree with at least 70% humidity, anyone can do it]...4.4 miles one way 4 times a week....its called laziness, also when I was in college I missed the last bus to go back was about 28 miles (Bethlehem Pa to Bangor Pa)

This is a simple math problem. We can support X amount of people and we currently have Y amount of people. The only thing we can control in this equation is Y. What do you think is going to happen?

The earth could live(thrive) without humans.... All these things(tree's, bee's, etc.) are an intricate part of the ecosystem. Remove one and overtime it will have a negative impact.... Remove us.... What negative impact will that have on the ecosystem....? Makes you think how insignificant we really are outside of our own heads.

Rare earth minerals aren't actually RARE. They're DIFFUSE but abundant. We will not run out of them. The problem is that though they are abundant their low concentrations mean that the only way to mine them is to have huge, destructive open pit mines. They can be found in far more concentrated form in space.

Whether this happens or not, everyone alive today won't be here to find out.

Another great video although the future is a scary thing to comprehend if we don't change now and come up with solution we're doomed before we even get to mars for the human race to live indefinitely we need to invent warp drive technology so we can travel at the speed of light and find somewhere to thrive. We are so lucky each day we all take it for granted when life as we know it could end so quickly.

The sucky part is humans being humans even if we can predict the likelihood of something we seem incapable of being proactive. All because of arrogance, laziness, lack of empathy, and greed
