When my DM did this, my character had to do it alone. I simply ticked the reaper off so hard with questions of my own and getting information that was useful later, that he threw my character out of the room.

Or you could go simpler and say "this statement is a lie"

Give your least intelligent party member a hard math problem.
If they think their giving the right answer they're not lying, but if its incorrect it's false statement, therefore not true

Because then they'd have to figure out the paradox and personally I don't wanna have to deal with a paradox

I once heard about the count down room and it's awesome

The players enter a cubic room inside which is a timer counting down on the opposite door and a pedestal in the middle. On the pedestal there's a button that restarts the count down.

The solution is to let the count down reach 0, but until then the dm test their psychological strength as much as he/she wants, and due to the common fast pace of the game they fail uncountable times (by pressing the button) and eventually despair.

The dm that told me about this puzzle room said that his players were getting ready to battle hoards of enemies and were surprised by how cruel a room without enemies could be.
