Sadly, if you do not convert into a Jewish family or are marrying a Jewish person it is too lonely and depressing. Week long holidays and Shabbats are torturous . There is no one to have home observances with or shabbat meals or home seders or Chanukka, etc. I seriously get so depressed a month before the holiday and for weeks after I go not want to go on. Pesach is one such holiday. It has been 10 years for me and nothing has changed. Those that convert for marriage may grow to love Judaism and all of its beauty as they have support with a family system.

I don't ever want to get married again. I just want to be Jewish.

This was very instructive. And rabbis always give a logical answer in my personal opinion. There are so many who convert just because of marriage. I do not believe for a moment that Ivanka Trump would have converted without Jared. I would also assume that the observation of the Torah does not have the best effect when a conversion has been made because of Jewish / Christian marriage. Strong love for the husband does not necessarily mean strong love for the Torah and the Mitzvos!

Would you convert to the Jewish faith had you not been born into such lifestyles? Seems like Jewish families are the religion, without out them how could anyone choose to sustain this ritual type of faith that appears all inclusive. How does a person maintain their family relationships if they want to uncovert?

I thought Judaism does not approve or wishes to receive converts. Is it accurate or partially true?
