I am a lymphatic therapist, and just beginning to research this trend of the gua sha Technique. You will always want to scrape your neck first, because the face drains to the neck, so opening the neck first is ideal, and the face will drain faster if you work it second. As a lymphatic therapist, I agree, those are great strokes to drain the lymph towards the lymph nodes. Good anatomical direction.

No expert— however you never mentioned that your lymph moves towards your heart so you move the fluid towards your heart (down on your neck not up for lymph drainage. As opposed to upward on your thigh, ankles, feet where you move up towards the heart to move lymph fluid. ) Just a point on lymph motion. A brush very lightly all over your body is also great for your immune system and health when you wake up after a shower.
