Thank you so much for taking the time to make this! I always get a little confused with pants seams and this cleared everything right up. This is especially appropriate for me because I happen to be sewing doll-sized clothes! Haha.

Thank you so much! Your voice and explanation is so easy to listen to! I am so grateful! My mom used to sew for my doll line and she just recently died. It’s been hard for me to get excited but I recently got a lot of positive comments after posting a new rag doll so decided to try to remember how to make the pantaloons my mom used to make. I remember her trying to teach me how to do this. And it was as if she were here for a minute thank you!💕

Thank you so much Lori, I am a beginner to making clothes and was trying to follow what a thought was a pattern for easy pj bottoms but got totally lost at this point. Ended up sewing it up wrong but had no idea where I had gone wrong. The whole lot nearly went in the bin but this video saved me!

Thanks for this! Do you think there is a style advantage with either version? I have a pattern & could not understand the instructions at all. I used the first method, but wondering if there are any considerations for choosing one method over the other?

What's the use of the protrusion used in pants in the crotch area on women, esp the back part of the pant? What happens when I overdo the protrusion and underdo t? Is it the same amount of protrusion that works for everyone or do I have to find for myself what works best for me?

Hi Ms. Lori, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us all. I would like to know if one version is more comfortable to wear, better fitting or “professional” in appearance then the other.

I know you stated they look the same in the end but the fit of the construction, is what sparking my curiosity. Thanks again for your help!!

Hi Lori thank you unfortunately I’m still confused turning the pants😭
So many videos show jazzy prints
With something like turning what would be helpful to a slow learner like myself would be the fronts one solid color as a different solid color for the back
I’m really trying hard to see how the turn works?? I gave up for now out of frustration
Otherwise I love your teaching

I sew each leg and then put one inside the other with right sides together and then sew the entire crotch seam from front waist to back waist. In my opinion, that creates a hinge point for wearing comfort. It's also how some excellent sewing books instruct.

When I put one pant leg into the other the way you instructed, the backs still don’t line up. Where am I going wrong?
