Marie Fredriksson: Listen to Your Heart through the years

Marie Fredriksson, who as the singer of Roxette was one of the most recognisable voices in 1980s and 90s pop, has died aged 61 following a long illness. The Swedish star achieved global success with Roxette in the 1990s with hits like The Look and It Must Have Been Love, from the film Pretty Woman, but she will probably be best remembered for singing their 1988 power balled Listen to Your Heart

Incredible how much strength and determination it took for her to go back on stage after fighting brain canccer, losing her sight in one eye, and losing her ability to speak, read, or write for a time. Her suffering has finally ended and she is relaxing at the table in the sun that she sang about. RIP Marie and thank you for all the beautiful music you gave us.
