Any Mercedes from the early 2000s. The fact that Chrysler bought 70% of the company in 1998, the overall build quality that was "missing" almost killed in reputation a good company.

Nowadays all Mercedes from the early 2000s are considered some of the best and nicest cars that ever came out. But back then they were questionable. Even Motoring Journalist Jeremy Clarkson criticized the CLS AMG just because of the reliability
