I will always prefer Cinderella 3's prince, the prince that yeeted himself out a window and ran away from his own wedding because he believed in talking mice. He was peak himbo.

It's a huge high profile movie everyone's talking about, but no-one's watching

I love how this movie was made as “progressive” and to “empower women” yet all I see in this comment section is women saying it’s garbage

It's amazing that the King didn't execute Ella for sitting on the deceased King's statue. What a kind King? Some people even call him a doormat.

Anybody else noticed how every character is talking like probably 16 century and Cinderella is talking like she’s in the 21st century?

My favorite part about this movie, that baffles me so much, is their inexplicable decision to _downplay how bad Cinderella's home life is._ Alex already pointed out her absurdly clean, spacious, and brightly-lit basement bedroom, but that's not all.
Cinderella is shown serving the stepfamily breakfast, like, once at the very beginning, and that's basically the only chore we see her do. Meanwhile, the stepfamily is shown out in the yard hanging laundry on the clothesline in _three separate scenes!_ Sure doesn't look like Cinderella's been made a servant in her own home to me!
She's visibly clean as a whistle the whole time too, despite the narrator's claim that they call her Cinderella because she's always covered in soot from the fireplace. Like, bitch where??
Not to mention how she apparently has plenty of money to buy materials for her dresses, infinite free time to hang out in her room and work on said dresses, and no problem at all going out to the marketplace to try and peddle said dresses!
Literally her only problem in life is that she's inexplicably not allowed to be a business owner in this bizarre society that's modern in basically every other way.

"why does he have to use the shoe to find her? When he already do know who she is?"

Man really abdicated the throne for a “I’m not like other girls” girl he met for two seconds…

Why is it in bad fairytales the characters say “princesses don’t sew, princesses don’t ride horses, princesses don’t do sports and don’t read complex books”. Historically princesses did excellent needle work and were well educated, spoke several languages, were fit and expected to know about their country or the country of their betrothed. They were some of the most intelligent people in the kingdom and would be expected to be able carry on conversations with ambassadors, priests, and have good musical skills. On top of being well dressed and poised. They had access to the best tutors their family could afford. Can we please get more intelligent and witty princesses who take their duty to family and country seriously?

“Did the world really need ANOTHER CINDERELLA??” That’s the first thing I said when I saw it.

It’s irritating how people praise this kind of Cinderella but bash the Disney one for being too WeAk…when she was literally a WOMAN in the 1700s who was going through domestic and emotional abuse…

The scene at 4:09 is so stupid. Honestly if this were realistic at all, Cinderella would have been executed right then and there for disrespecting the King. But, whatever. Its fine, she's the main character of course. She cant die and they needed some way to establish that Ella isn't "just like other girls."

I'm really starting to hate these "girlboss" movies. Nothing wrong with girlbosses when executed well, but forced onto an existing character who's already strong in her own right is exhausting.

There were a lot of contradicting things: Prince buying the dress she made to "change the system and challenge society" but once she told him she wants to work after becoming queen he was like "BUT WOMEN'S JOB IS..."

The historical accuracy is at -%100, the clothes are made of fabrics that did not exist at the time, the clothes are too modern, and there is sooo much more! Also how did Cinderella get that fancy fabric that could have been too expensive for her? How did she get away with using that fabric and sewing when her steps "hate" her? Why was the prince wearing a useless head scarf?
