Awesome 👏. Agree 💯 this is the ideal way to eat the soup dumplings and I think the chili 🌶️oil is a must ( at least 4 me) very fragrant 😋.

the republic of georgia also has soup dumplings that you hold upside down (by the slowing swirl), take a small bite, drink all the broth and then eat the rest. a well made dumpling won't fall apart and the dough will be stiff and firm, but not gummy!

Go to one all the time here in California it's unfortunately in a super fancy mall so it's a 50/50 if the wait is super long but it's definitely worth it

I like to bite a small hole at the pointy tip of the dumpling, drink the soup and then eat the rest. It takes practice but i think its a pretty cool way of eating it

I've tried xlb in Chicago for the first time and it was fire, but I'm pretty sure this is an entirely different restaurant but I recommend trying it❤❤💥👍😀

I tried Xiao Long Bao for the first time in november, couldn’t pick them up, had to kind of roll them onto the spoon, but man I didn’t realize I could like vinegar so much until I tried the black vinegar. So good!

I just make that same sauce with that ratio of vinegar and soy but I triple the amount of it and ginger and then I adf a few spoons of chilli oil in it

Why did I search this up because of that one movie where the kid threw away his moms lunch and then she said something about how did he like the xiaolongbao then he said it was good but he didn’t have xiaolongbao he had smth else then she was like “Liar.. I DID NOT PACK XIAOLONGBAO!”😂

Nah, whole thing in one bite. Otherwise if you have the soup and meat separately you might as well have wonton soup. I'm Chinese too, but yeah too much messing around, all in one bite. That said you're at a greater risk of burning your mouth badly. Oh well.
