Honestly Squidward in clarinet land is the scariest for me, there’s something that just feels so empty and creepy.

I'm fully convinced that the bus driver in "rock bottom" ditched spongebob on purpose. he did it because spongebob basically beat the bus driver up with his balloon. I bet the driver told his collegues and they decided to teach spongebob a lesson.

The Rock Bottom episode scared me as a kid since I was afraid of what would happen if you took the wrong bus. As a child I couldn't comprehend how you can just take the bus in the opposite direction or walk back etc, I really thought you'd be stuck there forever.

SB-29 is the scariest for me because of how psychological it is seeing Squidward get lost in an infinite nothingness and slowly go insane is terrifying it also shows just how bad Existential nihilism is and just what and existential crisis really looks like

the "the hash-slinging slasher" episode was one of the scariest, yet most intriguing and fun episodes i've ever watched of any tv show as a kid. really makes me nostalgic for my early childhood lol

The scariest episode for me will always be Rock Bottom. I remember being a kid watching it and feeling like something was off.

3:10 i think i remember the VA of squidward saying that he deep down loved spongebob as a friend but he doesnt show it. This makes sense in some episodes with their friendly rivalry and the fact that the older episodes kinda show squidward just mildly tired at spongebobs actions compared to todays episodes where he downright feels like HATES him.

Honestly for some reason the scariest spongebob episode has always been sd-128 or whatever its name is, you know, in the future, everything is chrome, I don't know why but its always been so unnerving, when squidward gets stuck in another dimension its so creepy, those weird places where there's no end and all, that entire episode is messed up, just like rock bottom, there's almost just, no happiness in them, for example in the first 2 there's some happiness, spongebob being happy, laughing, at the first one it ends in laughter and its all good, but rock bottom and the future one they just have nothing to them, its just liminal spaces and this sad aura

I liked it back when spongebob was acting like a young adult who just loves his job and squidward just wasn't into it, back there their dynamic has endless possibilities
