Just to clarify, this is THE ENDING, some people are hoping for a better ending after getting to the 100th galaxy, You're wrong, accept this work of a failure as the rest of us have.

wait, I get it!

In the center of the galaxy there is a giant black hole. As you travel close to it, your own subjective time is going to slow down to a near standstill, and as a result you will perceive the rest universe as incredibly speed up. And since the accelerating expansion of the universe will make all stars and galaxys move farther and farther away from you, becuase your subjective time almost not moving, you would experiance this as all stars around starting to move away at an incradible speed.

I can't believe it! This ending is brilliant! It's an actual, accurate ending of what could actually happen if you try to reach the centre of the galaxy!!!

...or, it's just a really terrible ending. That's also a possibility.

In the Angry Joe review for "No Man's Sky", there's an interview segment where the developers hint at what might be at the center of the galaxy. "Wouldn't it be hilarious if there was nothing there, or we just faded to black?" and it's said in a joking tone that makes you think they're kidding. Like, "no, that's stupid. We would never do something that lame." And then they actually did it.

The true ending to No Mans Sky is where the player refunds the game to get your resources (Money) back from planet steam

If you are wondering why people say this game is shit, this is all the stuff that was promised and then wasn't in the game:
-Multiplayer (There is none)
-Massive Faction War and Joining Factions (Just 3 races randomly spread in systems that give you no benefits)
-Orbits (None)
-Animals that interact with each other (There are none)
-Ships being a discovery because every ship is completely unique and different, and each player gets their own ship (Nopenopenope)
-Different soundtrack for each player (Surprisingly, nope. Although the soundtrack is good.)
-No skybox (There is one)
-Can technically fly from one star to another without hyperdriving (again, nope)
-Trading System (Nope)
-Economy (Nope)
-Landing on asteroids (Nope)
-Portals (Nope)That's all I can think of now.

EDIT: Okay so it's 3 years later and I'm still getting replies on this comment, so just to let everyone know, Hello Games has since delivered on many of the above things and has also delivered on a number of things that weren't even promised, like undersea bases and mechs and stuff.

Instead of, "Still a better love story than Twilight." how about we say, "Still a better ending than No Man's Sky."
For example,
Minecraft's ending- Still a better ending than No Man's Sky.
