No Man's Sky in 2025 Is A COMPLETELY Different Game

No Man's Sky has come a long way from zero to hero. Let's talk about it.

You say that they had no choice but to rehabilitate the game, but we’ve already seen so many publishers and studios immediately abandon games the second they flop or underperform. I think what they did is more than admirable even if it’s what any developer “should have done”

I installed it again just yesterday to see all the updates they added and this video dropping just makes me so much more hopeful! Amazing comeback!

I just recently started my first game with around 12 hours of playtime so far. A bit rough around the edges still, but overall it's phenomenal. I'm so glad Hello Games kept their promise and fundamentally fixed the game. Assuming the upkeep for such a massive amount of data is sustainable, it's one of the truly greatest achievements in gaming history.
Also, it makes it that much more frustrating when large studios like EA, Ubisoft, et. al can't get their crap together and fix a game after release, because NMS has proven it can be done.

I do wanna note for anyone who does want to check out new gas giants and stuff from a new save, you ARE able to if when choosing your game mode you choose "Expedition"

i am currently sitting at 0:46 seconds of the video. I remembered buying this game right before my senior year in high school. I didn't know much about the game besides it was an exploder's paradise to be the first one to discover anything. I loved the game when it first came out. Now i just started playing it again as of 4/12/2025. Honestly it is breathtaking what the game as become. I been having so much fun playing it all over again. So many different things to do now.

There’s no way its already almost been a decade. I remember back before the game launched, my best friend at the time showed me the trailer and I was hooked, then it launched and it was fun for a bit but it quickly lost the novelty. I had the opportunity to refund it and admittedly I thought about it, but I stuck with it and jesus christ was that the right call or what? Easily among my top 5 games and it just keeps getting better and surprisingly my cruddy laptop can still handle it easily. I will always stand by this game because despite its errors with marketing and launch, the setbacks, and the promises that didn’t follow through immediately, the game is beautiful. 10 years and onwards, I will love NMS.

"No Man's Sky" isn't quite my cup of tea, but it does look cool enough that I might go pick it up. I am very excited for "Light No Fire." I love fantasy RPGs and if Hello Games keeps doing what they are doing, it will be fantastic!

I definitely think their commitment deserves praise. I don’t think any developer should be releasing unfinished games but the reality is that it happens every year. Most developers don’t fix their game and make it better than the original promise

I was one of those players that started it waaaay back when and then… (found it too confusing and mind boggling) and then didn’t play it for aaaages… then years later came back to play it again. It did not disappoint at all!! Love the game now I understand it so much better as well! Love NMS thanks too Sean Murray and the whole team!
