I am an certified Diver and I really want to thank you for explain the whole cave-diving thing so correctly. I know this is just a movie, but I can promise everyone reading this that actions like these mean certain death. No diver who hasn’t undergone and completed extensive cave diving training should ever enter a confined space underwater. Even aside from the paranormal events happening in this film, I can say with confidence that this would most likely have been a death sentence for both of them if this had been real and they had acted the same way as in the movie. So many fundamental rules were ignored that I almost have a stroke just watching it.🥴

I can’t even begin to start listing all their wreck diving mistakes. Their incorrect and missing gear, their lack of certification and training, their lack of planning, their lack of any kind of line/cookies, the insane dangers of wreck diving in general (cave diving is a good comparison but wreck diving has unique risks), the lack of staging tanks and concern for the rule of thirds or decompression, seemingly using using only one kind of gas instead of changing to suit their depth and so much more… even without the ghosts they were dead.

Ben is absolutely a red flag 🚩. Constantly pressuring his partner to do something she clearly isn’t 100% comfortable doing was already enough but intentionally ignoring suspicious activity that clearly looks abnormal for “normal” people to do is definitely not a trait I’d like to see the person I’m going to marry have.

The most frustrating thing here is that they had a remote controlled underwater camera drone. They actually could have gotten all the footage they needed without ever going inside the place. :/

i would’ve simply not been in that situation. i like swimming but im sure as hell not gonna go deep dive and risk drowning, being eaten, getting stuck, being knocked unconscious, or getting injured deep under water.

I would say even if we ignore the supernatural, the fact that there are no fish near the house should be a reason to avoid it, since it means that there is clearly something scaring off the fish, which could mean there are some underwater predators, something toxic in the water there, ect.

Edit: especially with the radios acting up, which to my knowledge could indicate there is something radioactive in the house
