PIR Lights? Had one installed but no idea how to alter the settings? Our latest video might help.....

We've fitted PIR lights for a number of customers who have wanted to alter the settings for themselves to get their new light working just how they'd like.

Our latest video covers how to alter the settings found on most common PIR floodlights (the settings are often the same on other PIR lights too)

*** Please subscribe for more useful 'how to' videos and a whole lot more electrical hints and tips! ***

If you do need any further advice on security lighting, drop me a line and I'll be happy to help!

PS: PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN WORKING AT HEIGHTS TO ALTER YOUR LIGHT - IF IN ANY DOUBT LEAVE IT TO A PROFESSIONAL

I was trying to adjust my PIR 'blind' as I couldn't see the back of it, so was using touch alone, really awkward. Who knew they swivelled 180 degrees either side so you could actually see the 3 x controls!! Handy YouTube video - thank you...

Excellent. I wish more 'how to' vids could be this clear and straightforward.

Legend. This video rescued me at 230am as PIR was like a spotlight on a Taylor Swift production.

Just what I needed: clear, accurate and concise, and especially useful was the description of what each control actually does. I'm all set now mate, thank you :D

Thank you for posting this video.
Although a lot of people will see it as common sense, those who are not in the know....will not know how to change the settings.

The little pointer on dial has a dot at one end, should the dot be pointing where you want on the dial or is the dot the bottom of the arrow so to speak?

Is it possible to disable the sensor so that we can use it like a normal light using the switch?

LE Lighting (Customer Support) have just told me 1000 Lux (half way) is fine for my light to be activated at dusk.
However, I've read elsewhere it's 300-500 lux is the approx lux level for dawn/dusk.

I still have problems understanding how to set "Sensitivity". Is it by distance, or amount of movement in View ? - I have a few shrubs in line of sight, and was hoping that reducing the sensitivity, would avoid the PIR flickering the light on when the wind blows. But if it is just a distance threshold, it has little to now effect on reducing the flicker due to winds.

Just moved into a new property. I’ve turned all 3 settings down to the lowest. But the light won’t turn off. How do I replace the sensor — which I think is faulty?

I've one of these lights.
But it is coming on when it's daytime.
If you walk past it during the day or night, it turns on.
What can I adjust here for our to work only at night

Conclusion:
LUX - Sensitivity to light (Time of day it will come on)
TIME - 2 seconds to 5 minutes (on my version, it will vary)
SENSI - Distance (objects, cars, people etc from the sensor)
