How to Change Monitor Refresh Rate on Windows 10 (Best Settings)

The best refresh rate for gaming is 60 FPS or higher. Why? The game or content feels smoother and you since you are getting more frames for each second, this may improve your reaction time depending on the game you are playing.

For regular tasks such as browsing the web and other tasks, you will really have diminishing returns above 60 FPS.

This video shows how you can change refresh rate on Windows 10. Of course if your graphics card or GPU and monitor support it, the higher refresh rate, the better.

Thank you, I couldn’t find this setting!! I got a new tv and my pc was super funky!! I eventually started to realize it was probably the pc that reset back to 30 when connecting to new input!! Now no more screen tearing also, I was going crazy over that thinking my new tv was a piece of crap!! But it was my piece of crap pc reverting settings 😂

Just to nitpick, you're missing the last step where people have to accept they want to keep the new Hertz, and wait 15 seconds for the monitor to revert, if it looks weird.
