All I know is that bungie has done similar shit like this in the past. 1st and 2nd year of D2 they manipulated exp gains to make you gain less if you played more, and gain more if you played less. In an attempt to get new player to play more and to get people already dumping 8+hrs of their day to dump more in order to level up more. And they lied about doing it until the got caught. This is a very similar situation, the only difference is they can blame rng being messed up this time.

1) it’s totally intentional on Bungie’s part, because setting lower drop rates on the best perks, lenghtens farming and therefore creates arrificial time life, even if it’s the worst kind of farming there is, doing the same thing over and over again.

2) I’ll go even further, because in addition to this, there is a multiplier via the algorithm that measures playing time and regularity of presence on the game, favoring blueberries and players who return to the game after a period of absence, to lure them in !

No it was intentional. Considering this is the same company that pads playtime at every turn since D1 with XP throttling, and the same company that hired psychologists specifically to make the game more addicting, i 100% believe this was intentional and it's been here since at least D2 random rolls came out

Since we're pulling skeletons out of Bungies closet, Lets put the drop rates of dungeon and raid exotics in the spotlight.

There is a simple solution to this. Fix the issue immediately and make Vespers host the feature dungeon for two weeks. Gives anyone a chance to farm until they are content.

It took me 21 clears of warlords ruin to get buried bloodline. Thought that was crazy. Might not be but felt that way

It’s understandable that someone noticed the drop issues and raised the concern. The Destiny 2 team didn’t intentionally cause this, so their initial quick check was a natural response. As they looked further, they discovered a bug in the coding that led to the problem. They acknowledged the issue, admitted that some items became easier to obtain while some perks were harder, and announced an upcoming hotfix. There’s nothing to complain about—time to move on family.

The Destiny community is truly special. This is the sort of thing you normally hear about with PC games, where the community actually goes in and fixes the game. Destiny community when it puts it’s minds together, is a force to be reckoned with lol. I can only imagine the sort of community developed mods we would get

Man I knew this was a thing, I have been saying this for years. Everyone in my clan says I’ll have at least 50 runs to get a weapon. It took me 94 runs to get 1k. And that’s not even the worst one I had to grid.
