palmtree panic: an industrial looking version of green hill
collision chaos: this pinball level aint looking to good
tidal tempest: another industrial location except its its a polluted water plant
quartz quadrant: industrialized mine, what else is there to say
wacky workbench: an old rundown factory also the music is just HOLY SHIT THE FACTORY IS GONNA EXPLODE GET OUT OF THERE!
stardust speedway: a polluted rundown city but look metal sonic hehe
metallic madness: you fucked up big time, little planet is a shithole now

Mettalic Madness' soundtrack really gives you that feeling that you screwed up big time. The evil laughs and the "Sonic, dead or alive" lyrics are creepy.

My interpretation of each Bad Future



Palmtree Panic: Some cute green hills with nice trees, now turned into a mechanical hell with lost trees and lots of robots.


Collision Chaos: A small casino-like place, turned into a broken wasteland with a dark crimson sky.


Tidal Tempest: A fisher-like tempest, turned into a broken and cracked labyrinth.


Quartz Quadrant: All the quartz has been removed and replaced, and has been turned into yet another broken wasteland.

Wacky Workbench: A mech base turned into this hell and possibly even about to explode cause of the sirens and intensity of the song.

Stardust Speedway: The most iconic zone ever has been turned into this broken city with a crimson sky, darker than Collision Chaos.

Metallic Madness: Congrats, you fucked up the future. Even Eggman’s base of Sonic CD has been ruined, still wanting Sonic dead.

I mean, the JP sountrack is better than the US for these bad furures, but the US soundtrack really sells the idea that the bad futures are... well... BAD. The soundtrack of JP is so catchy that I can't take seriously the fact that eggman wins in these "bad" futures.
