It's kinda silly and vacuous to try to crown somebody as the best guitarist of all time, but I think Tarrega is my favorite of all time. Every piece he wrote is just so beautiful, and I struggle to find examples of such brilliant melodic work on guitar prior to him, much as I love many of his predecessors.

💫Your fingers weave melodies that speak to the soul through those strings. A true guitar maestro!💮

Beautiful, what more can be said. In the right hands the classical guitar is capable of such expression, and here we see it in the right hands! A famous person in the guitar world once said" there is nothing as beautiful as the classical guitar, save perhaps two". Thank you!

So, so beautiful!
My mother, who went to heaven 11 years ago, loved Recuerdos De La Alhambra. She would cry every time she heard it. I asked her one time why she cried every time she heard it. She said she didn't know why. It just had that effect on her.
Consequently, it is my favorite guitar piece of all time! (Though I do not have the same automatic reaction.)
Thank you for posting these. They are ALL beautiful! And you play them with such exquisite skill!

There is something so beautiful in tarrega’s music they are so mature in their emotion if that makes sense.

Love it, takes me back nearly 60 years to when I was at school. We had this lovely guy called Georgiou Sergio who played in jazz clubs in London, UK, at night and gave free classical guitar lessons during the day in schools. Among others he got us to learn Lagrima and Adelita and gave me a huge love for the guitar. 🎸🍾❤️

I've studied classical guitar for 1 year for basic part but when move to higher level, I've found that reading note instantly while playing is quite hard. To play continually, I have to remember it. For me, remembering note is quite hard and I think it should be read during playing. Many years later, when YouTube become famous, I've seen so many guitarists play beautiful classic guitar pieces without reading note. I wonder how they can remember the note.

I just learned to play this song (Lagrima). I am so glad I have seen you play it now. This will be the version I strive to reach.
