We use a seam ripper to take cut the elastic band. Works like a charm!!! Thanks for the video. 😘

I was really excited to see this video. About 10-15 years ago i bought a pack of 75 hair elastics from Wal-Mart by Goody. I STILL have them! They are by far the best I've ever used! They rarely if ever broke, they have only dwindled away as I've lost them. I have never found anything that compares.

Malibu, I just so happened to be sorting and organizing all my hair accessories and this video started playing. It helped me so much because of the large assortment of hair elastics I had. I did the "tests" and just tossed out the bad ones leaving me room for the good ones! BTW... I started using elastics from the hobby stores for kids crafts and they are really durable, and hold their shape very well. Not to mention they come in a large assortment of colors! ;) And the tip about the culticle cutter was awesome! Thank you so much for thinking of all things "hair" from the smallest of items to the largest of items! You are so super star!!! <3 <3 <3

I am so glad you did this video.  I go through a ton of those shitty clear elastics and they even break during the middle of the day when I'm walking down the hallway or working out.  Kind of embarrassing and definitely frustrating.  Also thanks for providing the link to your fave one's.  I sure appreciate this simple video.

I’m so glad I remembered this video. I’ve been using clear elastics for years and recently the brand I’ve been using must’ve changed their product because EVERY. SINGLE. DAY my hair band breaks. I literally carry several in my uniform pants and another box in my desk at work because they’ll just snap throughout the day. I’ve been trying to remember my cloth hair ties but I just really like the clear elastics so much when they’re not breaking in the middle of absolutely nothing :\ Just ordered your recommended bands!!

Hiya. I use the end of my pin tail comb to take my elastics out. If you poke the end under the elastic pointing down and then slide to the end of your hair. Also if all else fails a seamstresses seam unpicker would do a similar job to the cuticle cuter thingy. The best ones I’ve found so far myself are the scunci ones. They come in a reusable tub too.
