'Duck' Tape Will Not Last In An Arizona Attic

Показать описание
Using duck tape in an Arizona attic is a recipe for short-lived fixes and long-term problems. The extreme heat dries out the adhesive, causing the tape to peel and fail quickly. This lack of durability makes it ineffective for repairs needing sustained hold, potentially worsening the initial issue. Additionally, the tape can trap moisture, leading to mold growth and further damage to your attic and home structure. In Arizona's harsh climate, opting for permanent solutions using appropriate materials ensures lasting effectiveness and protects your attic from further harm.

Had this at a house I used to live in. Luckily the line that came apart was for a laundry room exhaust fan that was never used and not the bathroom exhaust fan. What’s your opinion on B vent for a water heater and furnace going inside a double 2x4 wall with yellow fiberglass insulation pressing against the pipes? It’s been that way for almost 30 years now but I know it doesn’t have the 1” clearance.
