Being a Japanese and a beauty addict living in U.K for the last 25+ years of adult life, I am so happy that Asian beauty products have wider recognition and become easily accessible worldwide thanks to social media and influencers on YouTube in recent years🎉❤

A huge selection of affordable and good quality cleansing oil, acid exfoliating toner, lightweight sunscreen, essence, sheet mask and tubing mascara have been around in Japan for a long time, but i couldn't find anything in U.K, so I used to stock up half a suicase of those goodies whenever I went back there in 2000s and 2010s.
Now the time is different, and I can get wide range of Asian beauty products online (although the number of brands are little bit overwhelming at times), and brands like Hada labo, Biore, Curel are readily available in Boots/Superdrug which is just amazing.

The only thing that I feel is not discovered from J-beauty is makeup primers that does so many things e.g. skincare benefit/ sunscreen/colour correcting etc. I can't wait to explore this category the next time I go back!

A lot of c-beauty eyeshadows are pigmented and on par with western eyeshadows... The only difference are the colour palettes and tbf, its lovely for people who likes to wear makeup look... because they create some of the best (even better) iridescent, foil and glitter eyeshadows

I bought a Fwee Blurry Pudding Pot after seeing Jen Phelps use it in a video and I ended up going back and getting 5 more- it's the loveliest formula!

If you like milky toners, you might like Isntree yam root vegan milk toner. That whole line, including a cleanser and cream, is HG for me. Its fantastic for sensitive, dry skin. I don't know how else to describe than to say all these feel like a hug for my skin and it feels "relaxed" on contact.

Ok ALSO THE HINCE TRUE RADIANCE BALM is my holy grail highlighter!!!! I picked it up based on my best friend's recommendation when I was visiting her in Korea this spring, and it's perfect. Most balm highlights are super melty and fade throughout the day. Because this balm is stiffer, it stays put and doesn't..."dry out, " for lack of a better word, over the day. That wet look stays all day. It's also not sticky at all but gives you the highest-shine, glossiest finish that lasts all day!!!

Amanda, put the Flaming Heart in the refrigerator overnight. The gel which acts as the cement over heated and fell out…it should be fine once it cools off and gels again.

If you're looking for K-beauty version of the Givenchy powder it's called the Wakemake Stay Fixer Multi Color Powder has one that has the same format and contains talc but most Asian beauty products still use talc formulas. Etude House I think also has a pressed powder that is similar to Canmakes as another option.

Amanda, I would love for you to do a review with the blushes that you liked the most, showing the pigmentation and durability of the ones that you would actually use and explaining why you didn't like the others that you bought please. Oh, and I would like to know if you liked the Hince highlighter please. I have been subscribed to your channel for a long time and I really like your perspective on makeup. A hug from Chile 🥰

Okay my take on the Flower Knows seeing it online was “meh, I’m not into the rococo aesthetic” but when I encountered it in person at Teso Life I was like hold on this is so cute 😆

Would love to see you try out more Cbeauty / gothic brands as they seem to have unique formulas. Like Haggard and Dinto, alongside GirlCult.

Judydoll is Chinese. Kissme, Rohto, Canmake, Shiseido are Japanese. I thought K-beauty means Korean beauty? I would appreciate if you could make the title “Asian beauty”. I wasn’t expecting them to be in this video at all because of the title. I know to some people they’re all the same, but it was misleading.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the video! Thanks Amanda ❤️

I have 5 colors of the Hince matte lipstick, these are the best lipstick that I've ever have. No smell, non drying, super comfy I don't feel anything on my lips at all, the packaging is so pretty and elegant, I prefer them over Mac, Dior, Lancome, Gucci and Charlotte Tilbury. I recommend u to try dear Amanda.

Fantastic video, Amanda! I'll have to make a list and pick up some favorites that stand out to me! I've tried the TirTir cushion foundation (I actually found it right before it blew up on YouTube! Don't ask me how!). At first, I couldn't stop talking about it. I absolutely loved the way my skin looked. But after using it for about 2 months, I felt like it was drying to my skin. At the same time, I also bought their cleanser, Essence Toner, Calming Moisture Barrier Cream and eye cream. I can't say enough about their skin care. I no longer feel like I have dry skin anymore. It's finally "normal" skin after 57 years!! But the foundation began to cause the definite dry patches on my cheeks. Even with their moisturizer underneath. I would like to try their Milk Toner. I did find a foundation that I LOVE though...BASMA stick foundation. Oh, my gosh, it's gorgeous! Woooohhh...sorry for the rant! Thanks again! xoxo Lisa

I’m a BIG fan of the Tirtir milky toner. I’ve tried the original and the light version and am partial to the original. (But the light is also great)

I really like the CosRx 6 Peptide Serum - it’s only been about 10 days, so I can’t yet speak to effects. But it feels really good on my skin. I picked up a second one at the Ulta sales for 50% off just the other day.
