For anyone in the US that's interested in getting this car - I currently have around 3k miles on my 2021 corolla hybrid and it's a GOOD car. If cheap, reliable, fuel-efficient transportation from point A to B is what you need, then this car is fantastic. In the US, this car is only offered as the LE trim, so there's no leather steering wheel or seats. In terms of performance, it's very quick on residential roads and parking lots, but on the highway, it takes a little extra accel to get to the speed you want. Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 comes with a lot of safety features that are standard on this car, so that's an added bonus if you want radar adaptive cruise control with lane trace assist. I'd say comfort is the only aspect where this car falls off as it takes bumps/potholes very well, but not comfortably. Honestly, my butt and back get quite sore after feeling a lot of bumps. If you only drive on the highway where there's not that many bumps, then it's great! Feel free to ask any questions because I love talking about my car!

I have seen 3, 5 liters per 100 km on a 1, 8 Hybrid.

Proud onwer of 2 Toyotas.

I get around 55-57 mpg. I drive 160 miles a day. About 98% highway. 62mph is the sweet spot on Cruise control. The engine turns off and uses the hybrid mode when it’s level ground or down hill. When not using cruise control you can use the electric motor alone with the engine off, up to 70 mph BUT you have to be progressive with the gas pedal. I bought mine in July 2021, I already have 15, 000 miles! No regrets. I get about 550 miles per tank. Only has a 10 gallon gas tank.

Yep, it’s always nice to have choices. Like ditching the extremely annoying and totally superfluous repetitive background muzak.

I would stay far far away from Ford that is one messed up product piece of junk.

So every reviewer in Canada had these with white interior, like this one but all of the models shown on dealer websites near me only have full black interior...is this trim available in Canada?

It still KILLS ME that Canada gets leather seats and leather wrapped steering wheel and no such options in the US.

Great review, i enjoy your work especially the prius awd video....these kind of real word use of car video are great, how is the traction control on the corolla in winter? I use to have a horrible 2012 matrix fwd that would slow down on incline and leave me stuck (even with good winter tire), now i drive a kia rio that is able to accelerate while climbing, allowing some slip unlike the toyota who would not let tire slips whatsoever, are they still like that? Thanks

I live in Bangkok and I recently bought the Corolla cross hybrid B-SUV. It’s save fuel like hell. Smooth and comfy ride but the noise level is high. I can’t regret buying this vehicle because it’s saves money a lot on fuel. I am running two vehicles so fuel efficiency was a priority.

Thank you so much for showing the side by side acceleration from a stop comparison with the base gas Corolla. This should help put to rest some people's concerns over it being slow or slower than the gas version. I'd also be interested in seeing the same comparison with SE and XSE Corolla's that have the 2.0l in them.
