Volvo has plainly stated they’re going electric and this C40 is the second in their line of pure EVs. The sloping roofline makes it a stylish riff on the more traditional XC40 Recharge crossover. What’s it like? Let’s go for a drive.

The sole (loaded) trim of the C40 was unbundled in June 2022. Since then there has been a single "Core" trim with optional "Plus", "Climate" and "Ultimate" "packages".

As a driver, I personally prefer my 2021 Kona Luxury as a city rascal in DT Toronto, but torque and luxury for C40 is sweet.
