The Rocket was way more powerful then Space X expected lol

Look like they will need to build flame diverter before B9S26 flying

What glorious testing damage, it’s almost like they put this stuff there for our enjoyment.

My question is - didn't they expect such a powerful start? I guess they should know what is coming, right? I understand unexpected damage, but everything is so packed on this launch site...

I lived in Brownsville for a year and went to the launch site and beach countless times. Every single time I went I couldn't understand how they thought the farm would be safe. Everything is right next to the pad and there is no real barriers for protection anywhere. I imagine based off what I know about Elon. He always goes for the simplest approach and has said remove everything you can and if you are not adding stuff back you have not removed enough. So now that they know what actually needs to be protected, I am betting they will have quality solutions implemented by the next launch.

what so many arent seeing here is the best investment to test a platform isnt simply to calculate and study the spacecraft for weeks before launch, its also to send it and watch what it does on the countless sensors and cameras as it goes.
Exploding is a win because now they will know the exact things to fix without guesswork.

Pretty sure they will build that diverter especially since the rocket did most of the excavation for them.

Wow, what did they expect! It is the most energic rocket ever made.

You can only learn from your mistakes period. Good job Space X and Elon Musk

That small car is probably worth more with a genuine Starship dent in it 😂

Learning experience. They'll get it right next time.

Guys!!! don't blame to spacex for putting so many things around the launch tower carelessly, , , what if they are collecting data about how much damage that starship can cause to nearby things? i mean WHAT IF! :D

I know there’s someone at spaceX who’s saying; “I told you so”.

People gotta understand this wasn't unexpected. The previous static fires also exploded concrete. With that said, they'll definitely need to build a flame trench or some sort of mammoth water deluge system for land launches. I think this launch was a case in point on why vehicles as large as Starship or the theoretical Sea Dragon REQUIRE a sea launch.

"Move fast and break things". Elon is taking the same approach from tech into rocketry. If this happened to NASA, there'd be an 18 month pause and all progress would grind to a halt. The reason SpaceX has accomplished so much in 20 years is because they aren't afraid to move fast and break things.

Njasa an interplanetary ship liner could be built more simply. Less load and energy consumption as Virgins Company did. It is much simpler. Safer. Large rocket turbines surpassed the power similar to atomic reactor energy.

They knew, the waterfall and trench is needed. Should be built for the next launch.

I just can't believe that the tank farm is so close to the launchpad. But leaving vehicles parked nearby was stupid too.

Before making reusable rockets, they should make reusable lauchpad 🤣

Knew this would happen. I'm shocked they don't use a water deluge system yet.
