Your idea of “budget” and my idea of budget are very different…

I paid 450 bucks for the Rift CV1 with controllers (and an Xbox controller) when it was new.
That was 6 years ago! How are there no VR sets for under 500 nowadays?!!? Not even bad ones?

the thing about the oculus or "meta" quest is that as soon as meta bought oculus they doubled pricing of the headsets without chaning ANYTHING

I have the Rift S and the Quest 2, I prefer Rift S in every way except the resolution.
My Quest 2 has way too many manufacturing defects (Lenses having this weird texture, loose facial interface, and scanlines on the screen) but that doesn't mean the Rift S is perfect it still has some issues.

One thing I've always dreamed of as a kid was to one day play games in VR! Unfortunately, I had an accident, and lost my right eye in the process. I don't know if you need to have both eyes to play VR? It would mean the world to me to finally experience it!

My paycheck *was* 600 a month, 300 went towards bills, 300 went in my pocket, couldnt afford it with that, and now my paycheck is gone

Good list, but the only one here I would call "Budget" is the Meta Quest, the rest are either above, or very nearly $1000.

> "Budget VR Headset"
> Proceeds to list VR headsets with a minimum price of several hundred dollars

When I found this video, I expected to see cheaper alternatives to the expensive headsets that every other VR channel keeps mentioning over and over again, but this turned out to be just the same stuff for the umpteenth time. :<

What is the cheapest non phone vr that you can possibly buy? I am wanting to get something cheap for me to play games like pcvr or something similar.
Thanks!
