I personally believe the greatest obstacle humanity faces is it's lack of investment in education. Especially in the USA. I was basically illiterate until I was 15 yrs. I turned that around because I was inspired by Science (astronomy). Hank, your channel has great value to those who desire to break the shackles of short sightedness.
This is an excellent video. Humanity doesn't just need to look into the future but rather to into the beauty of knowledge in spite of petty tribalism .

What I generally love about space science is that so many mission name or instruments are backronyms they clearly decided to "acronym" before the name of the mission/instrument

It's so crazy to think that a NEW STAR is born every year in our galaxy

Every gaze I take and will ever take is a look into the past. Literally every piece of sensory information that hits my retina. I am not kidding.

And I quote ". . . finally up . . ."
I'm so glad they got it going before I died - I was beginning to wonder which would come first

In the news they now say there are way more galaxies than previously estimated. Now they think there are between 2 and 6 trillion galaxys instead of the 100 billion previously believed.

If galaxies in the far past had higher rates of star production would that also mean they had more gravitational forces acting on them, in the form of more dark matter maybe? I’m just wondering if there’s any evidence that older galaxies may have had more dark matter or anything of that nature.

I'm pleased to see the representation for pride month. I'm pleased to see the recognition of diversity, especially in a STEM field. I'm pleased to see how Dr Rigby has contributed in a big way to astronomy.

It's sad to see how many ignorant people are leaving comments, talking about how they don't like seeing lgbt representation in the video. It was even clearly explained why it's relevant and makes Dr Rigby better at her job. Please don't listen to the haters, this was a fabulous and fascinating video.

Was Dr Rigby one of the folks who did some of the press conferences on the milestones of the JWST? Given the masks worn, I’m trying to remember by just eyes….
