problem is explorer.exe crashes everytime I open a file or program. I can't do these steps because it resets almost immediately

Uninstalling OneDrive solved the issue when explorer would freeze and restart every time. If you can't uninstall OneDrive - just reboot, the issue will be gone, but it'll come back eventually.

Thanks a lot, man! I was struggling to open my file explorer and the second method did help, but I seem to still get it crashes when I try to open a specific file. However, I managed to solve that by making a copy of that file and deleting the old one. Now, my file explorer is working again.

try this..instead of clicking on the folder icon, hold down the windows key and the letter E on your keyboard, this works better than using the icon folder to run explorer.. things run faster with less freezing

Thank man! Changing "open file explorer to" to "this pc" fixed my file explorer crashing and restarting when opening "this pc". Doesn't anymore now.

Ah None of them work tbh it's not saying anything on the task manager it's just loading and loading and it won't stop loading and I can't open other folder
