Simple Trick to prolong the life of your iPhone charging cables!

Especially when you are frequently using the cable while charging this trick can help you out a lof and your phone will keep charging.

I am using the spring from inside of an old pen and wrap it around the end of the cable. This will help to remove a lot of stress from the cable itself.

I really like the very simple way you show how to install the spring in the first place. You can get free pins at trade shows and the like. Just install the springs the second you get new cables. Don’t wait for them to start braking. Should work for all USB cables not just Apple ones. Bet a lot of Android users are experiencing the very same problem. One other tip to help keep the charging ports working is simply to clean them out with your vacuum cleaner once a week when you vacuum the house. Just put the vacuum cleaner crevice tool on and suck it clean. Better than having a fix it shop do it for $25+.

Definitely a winner idea. I hope you submitted the idea to Apple. You should get free iPhones for life because of the trouble it has caused so many people. I’ve replaced my cords dozens of times over th past four years. Wishi had seen this video when I first got my iPhone. I’d have saved so much money I could have bought a brand new latest version iPhone!
