The Dempsey Roll is 3 Shifting STRAIGHT punches NOT hooks. He even says it in his book Championship Fighting. He calls the Roll a double shift because you only shift twice, he recommends not to use hooks as you’ll be left open. Anytime you see him throwing nothing but hooks it’s normally a barrage or a combination series
