Sheikh missed the part of Hadith. Rasool Allah saw didn’t get upset at Umar r.a. He got upset because after Umar r.a stated his opinion people became divided into two groups and became debating and their voices got loud to which Rasool Allah saw got upset and ordered everyone to go away.

Simple two lessons
Leave the prophet and the sahabah to God - they were all promised heaven so were not wrongly guided or bad intentioned
Second move on and unite for the common goals, and to face common enemies

The Prophet ﷺ once famously told Umar ibn al-Khattab (ra): “Shaytan does not see you take a path, O Umar, except that he takes a path other than yours.”

But just as the devils would run from him, the angels had a special connection with him; and he was amongst those so divinely inspired, that it was as if the angels were speaking on his tongue.

The Prophet said, "Do not abuse my companions for if any one of you spent gold equal to Uhud (in Allah's Cause) it would not be equal to a Mud or even a half Mud spent by one of them."

So why do we have to judge the best of the humans after the prophets? Let Allah alone judge them! As a Muslim, I love and respect them all.

And if that was true, that what was the purpose of Ghadeer khuum that they celebrate today? If, according to shias, Prophet Muhammad (saw) clearly and publicly presented Ali (ra) as the khalifa and imam after his death in Ghadeer Khum, what was the purpose of him writting it again on his deathbed? Shias have too many contradictions in their own books.

The quran states explicitly that we have purified the ahlul bayt of sin. What a status to be given. Read surat al ahzab 33:33. How much more explicit can it be that they are the most beloved after our prophet?

It is unfathomable that Rasool SAWW would leave something as important as the announcement of the khilafat till his last days. Go read about Dawat e Zulashira, hadees e safina and ghadeer e khum to name a few instances where his successor was announced.

Imagine if someone else was in this situation. If the Prophet (saw) gives a direct order, and that person refuses, what do you call that person? Take away the personalities (other than Rasul obviously (saw)) and just look for truth. Who refuses the direct order of the Prophet (saw)? What does one call such a person? Now, apply that in this scenario to whomever it is that refused him.

Ask yourself, if the Prophet ordered you to bring him pen and paper, would you say no?

My only problem with Shia as a revert who is learning is this: the Prophet SaW couldn’t be stopped by anything or anyone other than Allah Azza wa Jal so if it was true that Muhammad SaW wanted Ali to be the first caliph then he would’ve done so but he didn’t. If you truly believe in Allahs might and his messenger then how could you think the sahaba (may Allah be pleased with them all) tricked our prophet SaW

I’m Sunni by the way. But I’m saying this because we keep sugarcoating the actions of the people we revere, even though they are fallible humans. And with it increase conflict for no reason.

Shia value lineage of blood over the prophets pbuh advice. They believe that Ali RA over abu Bakr RA and Hussein and Hasan over the rest. Beauty of Islam is that it doesn’t value lineage like a monarchy. If the prophet was a king it’d have made sense but he was a prophet pbuh
