Swiping them away unintentionally even when I need them running in the background 😅

I feel something strange if I don't do it 😅

Swiping them won't "fully" close any app.

It's just like when you have an app on Taskbar but close the window when using a windows device. It closes the app interface but won't stop the process.

If you want to "fully" close apps you must either force stop them one by one each time OR set your phone on 0 background process and turn on deep sleep for all your apps which I guess not many people do that!

So i am in the swipers gang

Swipe them away, and sometimes muscle memory kicks in, swiping away when I don't want to. Making me wait to boot it up again .😂

I always swipe apps away, I only keep them open when I know I will come back after a few click and even then I often forget to let the app open. I fully agree with you and I use Samsung.

I mean it can affect performance and battery life but it really depends on the device. For example, on the s24 you can swipe everything away or keep everything open but after many attempts neither seems to make a difference. Now my preference is swiping them away. (For peace of mind) But it truly doesn't affect the battery life nowadays unless you have a resource hungry app open in the background. I still fail to find proof that it affects the battery life but the problem is there's truly no deciding if it does because every device is different. None of them are the same.

Me : Presses "Close All" even after opening one app. It just feels more gratifying by pressing a button.

It takes up the RAM of your phone..
It'll make your phone lag and fps drop while having your app tabs open..

i close EVERYTHING! unless i know i'm going back to it. let's say excel or browsing something or just watching something on youtube. but generally i ALWAYS close everything. i'm used it because in the past, cheaper android phones struggle with many apps left open. BUT today it's a different story. even for the entry level phones, you don't have to. they don't slow down as much. but that's just me ^_^

Now that I got an iPhone I keep them coz its not gonna damage my battery and todays smartphone chips are so strong that they can handle apps being open
