This is one of the best example videos showing how to use the amp properly to get the best experience out of it. It’s meant to represent the classic Marshall sound and feel, and it does a great job of it.
Keep up the good work!

FINALLY a review of this amp that doesn’t go on and on about it being a “pedal platform”.
You’ve presented the amp beautifully, the whole first half was just WHAT THE AMP DOES WITHOUT PEDALS, and I think that’s great. Every other video wants to skip quickly to what it does with pedals. Thanks man!

This amp does what Marshall claims. Marshall builds a budget great sounding amp for people who cannot afford the over priced Dream amps. And the snobs complain. They never claimed this was a 1987X. They never claimed it was an all purpose DSL. It is just one of the best sounding amps under $1, 000. And anyone who thinks a joyo or amp in a box is better sounding has never heard a cranked plexi. The solid state amps sound like shit compared to this. Is it perfection? No. But best bang for your buck amp if you’re looking for a real oldschool amp. Origin😊Love seeing honest reviews. You praise the good points and pic at the weaknesses. I hate the reviews that say “great for the price” what kind of review is that. Good job with the honest review. Like the Plexi it has to be cranked. Love it. I love modern metal but these new metal amps that is all they can do. Everyone in the amp and pedal market still chasing the plexi. Marshall nailed it in an affordable platform😊

Finally someone who is smart, For the loot you can’t beat those Marshall origin amps, they can be had for cheap if you look around yeah there not a JCM 2203 or a Plexi but they are a decent tube head, I’m 60 years old and I have a JCM 2203 and a Marshall JCM 900 mark3 2100, and with the right pedals the Origin is close enough to those amps especially for a Garage or bedroom player!!!

i have a poor man's marshall thru a MG412 too!!! (great cab) 💀 joyo "jackman 2" clean channel is a plexi, dirty channel is a jcm 800. it only has a presence knob just like a marshall should be used. marshall has a passive EQ so every knob on 10 is the same as other amps EQ at 12 o'clock. i toured for years with a real jcm 800 and 1970s JMP thru a 1960a cab. i prefer my new setup :) you need to raise the 412 off the ground (at least 1 ft) 20w would be plenty loud with a drummer. i use a black liquor crate. a head road case works reall good too. the origin amp has plenty of gain just use an OD pedal (boss Sd-1 or tube screamer) if you want more. the amp's distortion boost is a clipped diode (actualy clipped led) just like jcm 900 or marshall jubilee :)

Thank you for doing this 🙏by far the best demonstration of this amp. So many traditionalists hating on this amp, it’s ridiculous…. Sounds like a perfect Marshall to me

I have the 20 Origin combo ( for home & small club gig use ) for me its LOUD ENOUGH on the LOW setting ! 😂, It gets those ACDC - Zeppelin - 60-70s OVERDRIVE - CRUNCH Rock tones perfectly !

I noticed the wattage consumption rating by the power cord reads 175 watts. Divide that by 1000 to get 0.175 kilowatt hours (kWh). My electric bill says I am billed $0.08 per kWh. 0.175 x 0.08 equals $0.014. Just under a penny and a half, per hour, to run that amp at full power. Pretty economical. You can figure this out for any piece of gear.

Awesome review of a great Marshall! Love the vintage rock and blues tones you can easily get out of these. I own both the Origin 50 head (for gigs) and the Origin 50 combo (for home use), and they've both been consistently blasted for the past 4 years and haven't let me down yet. Typically have it in the low setting, with "most" of the amp's controls set around 6, and usually only put a Boss blues driver (set to moderate gain, high boost) in front of it. Instant 70s-80s hard rock!

Thanks. I have an Origins 50. I got it new a few years ago. I’ve kinda left it on the side for combo amps. I probably havnt played it in 3 years. I’m going to crank it on soon. Thanks

That’s a pretty little amp, I like the Plexi look. What’s the hangup on power tubes mounted to the PSB? The way they’re mounted they are very solid and secure, the connection is more reliable than soldered wires. If you want a more affordable Marshall, it’s not going to happen with soldered on components and wires. I own a Marshall DSL100H and HR, one with tube sockets mounted on the chassis and one on the PCB (very securely).

No doubt Marshall weighed not only costs but service calls.

The amps won’t cost less if with hand soldered connections.

You are right. The Origin 50 is a good sounding Marshall at a good price.

Bro, these amps kick ASS !! I love my Origin 20h. I swapped the 70/80's for Green backs.. Holy Shit !! AC/DC.. ZEPPELIN.. Absolutely nails all those classic tones.. So much fun. This amp combined with my Les Paul sounds like I've always imagined Electric Guitar should sound in my head. Keep Rocking bro.. Sounds awesome!! 🤘🤘

I got the HEADFIRST mod on mine. In stock form it was still a decent amp. With the mod, it is has al the Marshall drive without having to make your ears bleed! Even in 5 watts it is almost giggable!

Do agree. Sounds pretty good with pedals, but most any amp does. Looks like you dig it. That’s what matters!

I own one and love it for what it's supposed to be. It's a great pedal platform as well. Need brutal while using this? Run a Revv G3 straight to the fx loop and it crushes! Origin 50 is great for the AC/DC thing and having said that, you have the most perfect fast and narrow Angus Young vibrato I've ever heard. Sounds just like him.

So far man I love the amp. I play a lot of clean through my fender these days and it sounds better than any other clean amp I’ve had (I’ve never owned a fender amp) so let’s get that out of the way. It has a sort of punch I’m not used to feeling through an amp. So far 10/10
