My daughter fractured her jaw on Saturday when she absentmindedly kicked a treadmill while reading. The pin came out, and it fell on top of her. We took her to the hospital, and when they ran the CT scan, there were 8 fractures. My mother, my father in law, and my grandma got ahold of me. My grandma and grandpa went to Bible school at Charis, and they pointed me in this direction when I was 17... For 24 hours, I was panicking and crying because I had felt guilty. After 24 hours, when they got after me for that guilt, I made the choice to let that guilt go. I started listening to these teachings on healing, and I reached out to my mom, my mom's best friend, my grandma, and my grandpa. We started claiming her healing. My own 6 year old daughter started claiming her healing. She would not let an adult tell her that she wasn't. She kept telling them that the name of Jesus, I AM healed! The doctors said that she was supposed to be on a liquid diet, and she got ahold of my french fries. She ate an entire box of french fries. The logic is that she is healed, and if she is healed, then she can eat french fries. Lol. Her surgery was supposed to be on Tuesday. 3 days after that accident, for 2 permanent metal plates. We got there, and I told them that they could not perform surgery. I wanted them to run another CT scan to confirm what we already knew because they said that she would need medicine every 3-4 hours. She would be miserable. She would be lethargic... Yet in the 48 hours that she had been home, she had refused medication. She was happy. Her bruises had faded to a light yellow. She was asking for horsey rides and talking while MOVING her jaw in a way that they said she wouldn't be able to for 6-8 weeks... They basically tried to tell her that she should get ready for surgery because it'll happen as soon as they give mommy what she wanted. She told them no thanks because she didn't need their surgery... They took that CT scan despite the fact that they were either irritated or actually mad at me for not trusting them. One of them told me I HAD to trust them because they were the professionals and they knew what they were doing... They took her new CT scan and could not find 6 of the 8 fractures, and the 2 biggest fractures were halfway gone.

They had planned a huge surgery for 2 permanent metal plates and after that CT scan, they confirmed that they didn't know how and they didn't know why, but she didn't need any permanent metal plates in her face anymore. At most, they said that she would need metal braces attached to the front of her teeth with rubber bands to pull her jaw forward, but they would call me before Friday to schedule her new surgery. I looked at them and told them that they could schedule it, but she wouldn't need that either. We are still speaking to her jaw and praising God for what has already been done. Her jaw and her teeth are lining up nicely. Praise God. :) She is healed.

As much as that child has frustrated me at times, once she gets ahold of something and truly believes it, she dislikes being told no even more than I do. She will not let it go... And I think the one thing that God has shown me through her is that not one single time has she asked God for her healing like I used to get taught in church. She didn't ask. She claimed it. She spoke directly to her jaw and simply expected that it was done and she could move on to eat her dang french fries. It took me 28 years of life to learn that level of faith, and when I started getting a sinus infection, I spoke to it like she did to her jaw. It was done and gone completely in 5 minutes. She is a blessing.
