Показать описание
Normal period usually lasts for 2 to 7 days and normal cycles last from 21 to 45 days, explains Dr. Alejandra Salazar, Obstetrician and Gynecologist with Baptist Health South Florida, who adds physicians say that the average length of a cycle is from 25 to 35 days.
About blood loss, the specialist explains normal blood loss would be about 80 CCS. She also says women have to worry if their menstrual period lasts more than a week and they have heavy clots, because it’s considered abnormal.
Dr. Salazar explains it’s normal, from 2 to 7 years after the girls’ cycle starts, they may have an irregular period, because the part of the brain that controls all these hormonal activities gets mature when women are 21.
