1. learn how to read
- Read chapters before the Lecture
- Scan the chapter and Headlines before you read the chapter
- Write down REAL questions you have about what you read
- Think about what you read even after you close the book

2. Learn How to take notes
Good note taking is more about filling in the gaps that weren't covered in the text book you already have and have already read!

3. Consolidate your notes soon after class (1-3 days after) make flash cards etc.

4. Make studying a daily habit. (With Brainscape!)

5. Teach To Learn. To an imaginary student etc.. Feynman Technique, dumb down what you know to teach in simple terms.

Bottomline, if you want to spend less time studying overall, you want to be exposing yourself to as many small sessions of learning spread over as long a time period as possible.

You want to be increasingly active in the ways that your mentally processing and repackaging that knowledge over time. This spacing technique is exponentially more effective than just reading your notes or your book passively over and over again and doesn't require any more time, it only requires more disciple.

Thank you, inspiring advice 👍

So I have tried quizlet, and anki and I prefer brainscape. I love the colors confidence I use it like leitners box method... each color is a "box" and info progresses one color at a time the better I know the info.. if I don't know it - the card moves back to the beginning... I love it.. i wish it had the auto scroll so I can run on treadmill and scroll through.. also would love to see voice record ability.
