I'm sitting here with a 5 year old iPad. Getting an iPad 7 Mini is a no brainer. I kept looking at the Mini 6 and that was 3 years old. The Mini 7 is perfect for travel. It's a winner for me.

Ha. Why do people always expect a revolution every time Apple release something? No other company does it either. Fuji bring out a new camera? It’s only slightly better than the last. Sony bring out a new tv? Only slightly better than previous. If you’ve got a Mini 6 and are happy? Then don’t buy the 7. But stop frickin moaning about shit.

I come from a mini4, which I haven't used in two years ... just bought the Mini7 ... a huge upgrade for me ...

Its not supposed to be a huge update (as much as I would have wanted it to be). It wasn’t released via event, so its not major which was apples intention. The spec bumps are actually pretty good, but the only thing I would have wanted was a different screen. Its not even called the ipad mini 7, its called the iPad mini (a17 pro).

I'm Canadian and the mini is more expensive than the regular iPad here. I don't understand how something with less tech can cost so much! I'm very happy to not be locked into the Apple ecosystem.

Yea. I’m sticking with my mini 6 for now. I don’t want to have to buy a new Apple Pencil. For real Apple come one. This one is great and I’ll upgrade next cycle.

What is like to see if an iPad Pro 9. That would have great form factor and portability and reduce those bezels to get a slightly larger screen whilst retaining form factor.

the only people who are angry are ipad mini 6 owners. however for people buying a mini for the first time, it's a decent upgrade from the 6. double the ram, double the storage, AI-ready chip. Same entry price.
