What a great positive talk and truthful explanation to something that has been such a negative in today's media a la Duggar.
Our oldest is 39 youngest 19 and they are so cute together huddled over a car engine or sitting at family dinner talking .... lol cars, but sometimes girls then to see that 19 yo riding bikes (lol or playing cars) with his 3 & 4 yo nephews. Then to hear the 4 yo say "you are a nice man"
(the youngest of 10 struggles to feel like a total grown up!!)

These are great ideas. I do need to say one thing. Please don't assume that when you see older kids taking care of younger kids a lot that the parents had a lot of kids for that purpose. There are situations that it happens out of necessity. And it doesn't hurt the older kids. You seem like someone who naturally has more energy. I'm sure you get tired, but there's no way that many mothers would be able to do what you do. Physically they'd be too limited to get it all done. I only have 4 kids, 3 living, another on the way. I never intended for my health to fall apart in my 20's.
I know many would say to stop having kids, but that's not really for anyone else to decide. Also, I'm figuring out my health gradually and I'm not going to wait until I feel perfect to grow my family. I only have so many years of fertility and have already struggled with it. We will take the children God bless us with and have faith that He'll help us raise them the way they are meant to be raised. And I don't want huge gaps between my kids. With my daughter dying, there's already one 8 1/2 year gap.

Maybe you didn't mean it that way, but it seemed kind of judgmental. Which seems strange to me coming from someone that I would think would know better than to judge other people's family planning and parenting styles.

I am the third of 9. My mom did a lot for us. Yes, we helped with the younger kids. I wish there had been more expected of us. My parents are amazing and I'm so grateful for everything they've done. I just have seen how my parents taking on so much and not sharing the family responsibilities a little bit more didn't really help us.
But to each their own. I don't know exactly what your family dynamic looks like. You obviously have a lot of things figured out.

Simple and great ideas! Thanks!! Im using checklists more than scheduling, but I would love to..
Just have a question, how can you schedule with a bunch of littles? Looks like always "something" happens..baby wont nap, a toddler is in trouble, the strong willed is angry..etc etc. 😮
