it's a good thing to keep the cars consistent anyway, might as well make the smaller ones bigger since the bigger ones can't get any smaller without losing detail

I personally LOVE the 8-wide vehicles. So much detail and you can fit two minifigs in typically. But I have major kudos to the people who cram so much detail and design into a 6-wide vehicle. And I get why for your custom cities / streets. I don't have a custom city or anything so this doesn't apply to me. But I did just build a custom 8-wide Ghostrider Hell Charger car from the standard 6-wide version in stores and man it's so much better and detailed than the original.

I used to build primarily 4 wide but now I’ve started with 6-wide and it’s so much better

If I would make 6 wide cars, suv's and vans, while making the back of the ambulance 8 wide, I think I would also make the busses and big trucks 8 wide.

6-wide is my usual building preference for cars, sometimes 8-wide. There's more room for details, more space for the driver, and it's a better scale for Lego cities.

"the larger the car, the larger the road...and the more space you need'

man just summed up 50% of the american traffic issue

Even though I don't build cars, I only build tanks this still really helped knowing what proportions I should go for. Thanks!

Personally I say 7 is perfect. It lets you fit 2 figs side by side which I find is key to a good car.

The ideal for me is a 6 wide vehicle that can seat 2 minifigures side by side. Part 30149 makes it easiest, and thankfully Lego has brought it back for a few recent sets.

I personally prefer to build 6-stud-wide cars that can seat 2 minifigures side-by-side, 7-stud-wide vans, and 8-stud-wide large trucks, large trailers and buses.

Yes I definitely agree. On my channel I always build with 6 Studs.

I started to build six wide Lego vehicles because I wanted to be able to put two people side by side as well as using the Lego chairs.

Problem is I never had the right amount of pieces or the proper pieces to make them the right way. Six wide definitely looks better

I think both 6 and 8 wide are good. For the roads 6 is best, and you can actually get very detailed with it. But I do like my Speed Champions 8 wide :D

Do you have a tutorial on that police car from the beginning? It's so dope

This is perfect! I’ve been wanting a mail truck and Amazon truck for such a long time! You should also build a UPS truck to have the full set. Also I’ve been wanting to convert over to MILs plates and these vehicles are perfect for them. Thanks!

Woaow I love your cars!!!! When I see the thumbnail for the first time, I looked the picture twice!! Because they look like diecast toys before I understand they are made with Lego!! I love your design!!! Personaly I'm stick with 4 stud wide, cause I love anything small and simple in my design, especially for my (city/railroad project) and also star wars moc!! I know I talk to much, but, I love what you do Keep growing your city and your channel, I love it!!😁😁😁😁

I love my four stud wide builds but the six studs are objectively better. Also your custom road plates are amazing!

I always use 8 for detail, and being able to fit more than 1 person in.
