Having trouble finding flour in the stores? Or craving fresh wholegrain flour, but you don't have a mill? I have an easy solution. If you've got a blender or a coffee grinder, you can mill your own grains for nutritious wholegrain flour at home.

You can also sieve it for very fine texture after blending. Then blend the coarse texture again.

I've watched like 10 videos on what flour was and they all didn't make sense. This video makes it so easy and clear.

Great news, I was looking to buy a flour mill and now I don't need to as I have a blender. Have just tried Oats and white Rice and it works perfect in my blender. Thanks!!!

Thanks for the tour on wheat varieties and their uses & contents. I have always used my coffee grinder to make gluten free flours. Never tried the bullet before, great tip. Your yeast video is brilliant btw. 👍 So helpful during these shortages. Would love to see how you bake with it. Take care!!!

New subscriber here! I am from India and wheat flour is our staple food in making roti ie Indian daily bread. For a long time I have been thinking of grinding the grains at home, and also looked into mills for household purpose, but they are bulky and fussy to accommodate in a regular kitchen.
Until I saw this video of yours, I had never realised that I can grind in a regular mixi and that too fresh as and when required! We are used to buy our monthly stock of 5kg-10kg at a time in the store, so I was looking for that kind of quantity mill.
But now I can't wait to try grinding wheat at home without a grain mill, in small batches as and when required, like you showed !!
I am sure the roti dough I will make of the homemade flour will not be that smooth or light coloured as store bought processed flour, but that's the beauty of having something truly homemade and also having bypassed processed food disadvantages!!
Thank you so much for this video !!

Thank you for sharing, very informative! A great substitute for a mill to make flour. I used my coffee grinder to make my almond flour - works too but time-consuming.

This was concise and highly informative. I'm just learning about milling my own grains. Total novice here but you demystified the process. I don't have room in my small apartment for a grain mill but I have a Nutribullet. Thank you
