I believe we can find the plane, it may just take many decades.
Searchers needed 70+ years for the Titanic to be found, and authorities had an idea of where it was.

Came to comments section for the interesting theories. About what I expected…

We have only explored about 5% of our oceans. We know more about the surface of Mars and other celestial objects than we do about the deep ocean floor, especially in the are where the plane likely went down.

The plane probably hit the water at significant speed and broke up. It won’t be mostly in tact like many shipwrecks and when and if we find it the chances are we won’t find the cause of the crash. Some things remain mysteries for decades, centuries or even forever.

I think the plane has been found somewhere place, but because it carrying a ‘special’ important packages, i dunno, tons of helium maybe, so it better left untreated.

Why is this such a mystery? It is on the bottom of an ocean floor just like the Titanic and hundreds of other planes and ships.
