Mayo Clinic Minute: Winter, holidays and keeping safe from COVID 19 and other viruses

Winter weather and holiday festivities are driving folks indoors, but that could be putting you at greater a risk of getting sick. Not only are COVID-19 variants of concern, Dr. Tina Ardon, a Mayo Clinic family medicine physician, says it's the time of year for respiratory illnesses.

For the safety of its patients, staff and visitors, Mayo Clinic has strict masking policies in place. Anyone shown without a mask was recorded prior to COVID-19 or recorded in an area not designated for patient care, where social distancing and other safety protocols were followed.
