To his service in the Mexican American War and his decision to resign from the United States Army. Then of course after the war as we have for all our other subjects

Today we discuss the war, his life before and of course after. I will warn you, Lee was older then most of the other people in this series so this will be a long video!

Thank you for watching, hope you enjoy and follow us on our adventure through the Battle of Gettysburg! Please like, share and subscribe!

*disclaimer, this is a history channel and we will discuss people and events regardless of the controversy. Robert E. Lee was one of these controversial players in American history, but he like others deserve to have their story told as well.

Audio needs improvement....higher volume and a closer microphone, to lessen room reflections. Glad to see you tackle this topic in an almost fair manner...Lee was NOT a traitor and General Grant threatened to resign from the Army, if Lee were to ever be prosecuted for treason. Lee was called : " the most noble of all Americans and one of the finest military commanders in the annals of war", by Winston Churchill...a man who knew a thing or two about war ! Lee was beloved by his men for his selfless character and his for dedication to WIN, against all odds. Certain people are afraid of Lee today....and they tear down his statues....because he was a noble, dignified, righteous citizen who fought not for slavery, but, to defend his home from attack by a violent Federal government. He remains a symbol of an honorable man willing to stand up against government certain people in Washington fear TODAY !
