Makro Racer 2 user guide - English

This is an in the field guide to the Makro Racer 2 . A quick video that shows the machine on a ploughed field and pasture detecting a buried target at different depths using all modes except beach . Keep in mind the absence of the natural halo effect that happens over time and means a live target is picked up easier than these buried targets . Also we are going for deep targets in this video . Audio discrim always searchers deeper than the VDI numbers . So when we go deep you should make your mind up wether to dig or not based solely on the audio because at extreme depths which we are all after there will be no ID numbers come in . I also go thru some basic steps in the menu system . One key thing to know about the Makro Racer 2 is that the tracking mode is only suitable for all metal mode . If your in all metal mode with tracking on and switch to a discrim mode the tracking will remain on however . Please always make sure tracking is off when using any of the discrimination modes . i have a mk 2. i buried a pound coin at 8 inches but cant find a setting that gives it a beep at all?

Nice one Steve, certainly goes deep, how is it on small silver, or gold, also how is the pinpointing on the Racer. might even sell my Etrac and go for the Racer 2 if its lighter as well.

I must be doing something wrong with the Makro Racer I am using, on tests, I put a coin in the ground and it really struggles to pick it up at anything below 5" in all metal mode, it will be very scratchy .. the deepest I have dug to is 4"...
