Good stuff. The loop that you attach to your belay should be smaller diameter than the main belay rope, IE use 6mm material on a 10.5mm rope. This provides a better "lock" in the event of a fall. I buy good dynamic climbing rope for these safety lines and cut them to length. I remove them from the tree after the season. I do not use a separate pull line. I attach pack/rifle/bow/etc. to the ground end of the safety line, which holds the line down while I'm pushing the not up while climbing,

Outstanding, I work in an industry where I wear a harness often. I was planning on purchasing a bunch of stuff for my tree stand but after seeing this. I'm probably going in your direction. Thanks Man.

Commercial aval. at basspro, etc. I just bought 60m (200ft) 10.5mm dynamic (stretches under load) rope at Sierra Trading Post for $120 but I on sale. I'll get 7 lines out of that, so it will cost me less than $25 ea. (including biner and 6mm static line cut to 2ft for the prussic loop), which is much cheaper than commercial and made out of much better material. Easy to do, just tie good knots: bowline both ends, double fisherman's on the loop and a prussic, good knot directions online.

Thanks for these videos. I was looking for a way to make my own life line system without having to pay the 40-50 dollars that they cost in the store.

Where did you find the rope you used for the saftey line. I cant find strong enough rope in a dark color. Please advise and thanks for the great video.

*Nice stand>>>**ur2.pl/923**   so far. It's my first, so don't have a comparison. But, after 2 times trying it out and hunting in the woods I think I have it down. It's light, but I got the Sherpa game cart converter and its a breeze to haul a mile. Also getting the Mollie Straps for shoulders and waist. The harness works as it should: looks like quality seatbelt material. If your on the fence about getting either an open or a closed-get the closed. You can even use the bar to shoot your rifle from if you set the top section high and just stand hunt.*

Does anybody got a good site for rope purchase? As previously mentioned it's hard to find dark colored rope in that diameter for a reasonable price. Don't get me wrong my life is worth way more. Just trying to find an economical price if I could for some rope by the foot. I don't plan on leaving.out season after season. However, I do want something that can hold 250+ lbs in case someone falls. Any ideas fellas ?
