This happened to me yesterday with my
EVGA Supernova 1600 G+ build has been up and running since early July...it POPPED and shut down the pushed the power button and then it sparked inside the case and popped the breaker in the house. I lucked out, and the PC survived...but I was nervous for 24 hours while I waited for a reaplacement PS to show up. I am wondering if the ECO setting constantly turning the fan on and off might be causing surges.

EXACT same thing happened to me, exact same power supply. Massive bang, took the main breaker out and the PDU breaker. Mine was brand new, when I opened it, there was blown caps. Bought a new one online, and returned the blown one back to the online retailer.

Happened to me with a 1600w g+. My house electricity also blown up and had to replace the fuses. I've sent it for warranty and thankfully they are sending me a brand new one. I'm worried if my components fried as result of this, hopefully they are safe as I'm writing this. I'll be sure tu buy a better UPS before connecting everything back up.

My 1300w g+ blew up a few weeks ago. Got a 1600w g+ to replace it. Hopefully it doesn’t blow up again

dang. would have thought EVGA PSU are better than this. have you thought of shifting to server PSUs? i've been running HP 1200w plat rated ones and they are tough as nails. deployed over 12 of em and its been pushing strong.
