So what are the pros and cons of living in Cary NC? What is it like living here? Is it expensive? Is it safe? In today's video I am going to just scratch the surface, especially since there's a lot to talk about when it comes to the town of Cary in North Carolina. Hi guys, this is Yoana Nin. I am a realtor with The Prosperous Agency. I have been living in Cary North Carolina, with my family, since 2011, and we have relocated from Los Angeles. So I am not only talking to you as a realtor that has sold hundreds of homes and has helped many, many people relocating from all over the world. But I'm also talking to you as someone that has relocated herself from Europe and then from Los Angeles to Cary in North Carolina.

PROS OF LIVING IN CARY NC
LOCATION & PROXIMITY
Cary is just minutes from Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, RTP and the international airport(RDU)
SPORTS
Golf - Pinehurst, where the US Open is held is just about an hour away. Soccer, tennis, baseball, just to mention a few more.
PARKS
Cary currently has about 30 parks and about 70 miles of greenways connecting Cary with the surrounding cities.
SCHOOLS
Cary has some of the best schools in the country from public schools to charter, Montessori or even a Magnet School(Farmington Woods Elementary). Duke and NC State Universities are just around the corner.
CONS OF LIVING IN CARY NC
COST OF LIVING
At the time of this recording, Cary is 5% more expensive than the rest of the country. About 15% more expensive than the rest of the state. And guess what? From a housing perspective, we are over 35% more expensive than Raleigh NC.
HOUSING
Cary's home values increased 37.7% since last year alone. Generally the property tax for Wake county is about 0.88%, significantly less than some other states.
HOME PRICES
CARY BECOMES MORE AND MORE CROWDED
With Apple coming to the area as well as a lot of already established businesses like SISCO, SAS, EPIC GAMES, Cary is growing extremely fast! No wonder it becomes so crowded :)
