The NSO Performs 'The Armed Forces Medley'

The National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Jack Everly, performs "The Armed Forces Medley" during the 2016 National Memorial Day Concert.

My grandfather was in the army in trench warfare in WWI. My dad was in WWII in the old Army Air Corps (before it was the Air Force) and I was in the army (70-76) during the Vietnam war but not “in country “. Proud of my heritage.

I am so impressed by these performances, in part because I'm a (veteran) part of the armed forces that the medley honors. Thank you. My grandfather served in the US Army during WW1 over in France, my father was in the US Navy, my sister was in the US Air Force, my nephew was in the US Army, in other words I had a lot of family who served in the military. I am so very proud of everyone of them.
