The paste wax to protect the board from the glue and the razor blade applicator are the real gems here..

That trick with the razor is genius, I literally gasped at how well it went down where it was meant to! You are an artist and a craftsman, sir

I think StewMac is trying to convince me to file into a perfectly good fret hammer so that I then need to then order a new one from StewMac

Since the hammer's only use here is to shove the fret down and hold it there while the glue sets you can use any ol' hard object that you can hold steady on top of the fret. A piece of hardwood dowel is fine, and if you want to you can file a notch into that so it can't slip off (which is the only reason to notch out the hammer).

So that's why my 5th fret sounds like a squeaky toy. Been driving me nuts for months. Thanks!

I watched multiple times just for the wax and razorblade part. Nice work.

Well I learned two very useful things from this video the razor blade trick and that Super glue accelerator exists and I need it!

The tip I got from my tech was removing the fret, bending it to fit the radius of the fretboard better, preferably getting a slightly smaller radius, so that the middle of the fret would be sticking up rather than the ends, and then gluing it back and putting a clamp on the middle of the fret and over back of the neck until it dries.

I've solved more than a few fret buzzing issues by simple tapping the fret back into place. Newer Epiphones seem to always need it.

Been playing 60 years, have way too many guitars. Done repairs and modifications on some. This is a new one to me. Thanks for the video ! 👍🏽

You know what's crazy, I remember years ago when I first started guitar and would look up videos to get rid of feet buzz they were all about strings, or neck adjustments, they never talked about unseated frets. Thank you

I use this trick with normal wood glue and epoxy as well. Thank you for showing me that the trick also works with super glue (aka CA glue)

I like the sound effects when the fret moves. It made me laugh.

I'm guessing the wax is to protect the fretboard from the superglue.

I love the squeek sound effect. Perfectly displays what my brain sounds like when played as an wav file.
