Today I’m sharing 50 things that I’ve stopped buying to simplify my life and save money. Minimalism is something that has dramatically impacted my buying habits, so in this video I’m sharing 50 things that I USED to buy, but since adopting minimalism, no longer do.

Keep in mind that we’re all difference, just because something doesn’t serve me, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t buy it. Think of this video as inspiration, not commands. Take away from it the ideas you like and leave the rest.

I can completely understand everything mentioned except for q tips! Oh no! Definitely a staple for me. I have to clean my ears after every shower or bath because the trapped water causes ear aches. I use them to remove smeared makeup or mascara, clean my belly button 🤷‍♀️ definitely gotta have those! I can’t live without!

Fast fashion for sure! Because purchasing ethically does cost more, it causes me to be extra intentional with my wardrobe.

My skin also cleared up when I simplified my skincare routine!! but I’d recommend you use a mineral sunscreen in the morning to protect your skin from UVA damage, if you don’t do this already. it’ll help your skin a lot in the long term :)

I freeze part of the bread that I make so that it doesn't go bad and always have some on hand. 🍞

For those people who buy bottled water because their city water tastes really bad...I had that same issue the last place I lived, and picked up one of those Brita water filter pitcher things...It completely fixes the problem, and is a lot cheaper than constantly buying bottled water.

After watching your video I came to the conclusion that everything is relative and personal preference. Things that are not important or necessity to one person, could be a must for someone else. Apply advise wisely based on your own needs and what makes you happy 😉👍👌😍

I'm working slowly towards minimalism... Im at the stage where I am content with what I have and avoiding to purchase more items (unless it's needed).

I do want to focus on being more environmental and using less waste next.

I am learning from a former maximalist that it is a difficult transition to become a Minimalist. It is necessary for me financially and I'm loving it! 😍

I no longer purchase something or multiple of something just because it’s on sale. It may be a good deal, but it can be a good deal for the next person too.

I absolutely love what you were saying about mass produced art! I love when art is personal, and has a story, so I love buying art second hand or painting it myself!

When I am traveling, for souvenir I usually take a “pencil souvenir”, for example in Canada I took the one with impressed the maple leaves. During the year I used it and it remember me that trip! I also bought them for some friends, and they found it nice... and useful!

Watching this in a bathtub with some bath salts. This is my way of stress relief lol. I agree with everything else though.

I thought the same about toner until I started using witch hazel, sprayed onto a cotton pad and then wipe my face with it before moisturising. Game changer!
